Lisa Kudrow is looking back on her friendship with her late "Friends" co-star Matthew Perry.
Kudrow, who co-starred with the late actor on the sitcom "Friends" from 1994-2004, paid tribute to Perry in an Instagram post Wednesday following Perry’s Oct. 28 death. The actress, who played Phoebe Buffay opposite Perry’s Chandler Bing, shared a throwback photo of the pair.
"Shot the pilot, Friends Like Us, got picked up then immediately, we were at the NBC Upfronts. Then…You suggested we play poker AND made it so much fun while we initially bonded. Thank you for that," Kudrow wrote. "Thank you for making me laugh so hard at something you said, that my muscles ached, and tears poured down my face EVERY DAY."
Aside from his comedic talent, Kudrow expressed gratitude for Perry's generosity and resilience.
"Thank you for your open heart in a six way relationship that required compromise. And a lot of 'talking,'" Kudrow wrote. "Thank you for showing up at work when you weren’t well and then, being completely brilliant."
She concluded: "Thank you for the best 10 years a person gets to have. Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for all I learned about GRACE and LOVE through knowing you. Thank you for the time I got to have with you, Matthew."
Perry was found dead in the jacuzzi of his Los Angeles home on Oct. 28. He was 54 years old at the time of his death. Following a joint statement released by the “Friends” cast mourning Perry, his co-stars have been sharing individual personal tributes for the actor.
"Oh boy this one has cut deep... Having to say goodbye to our Matty has been an insane wave of emotions that I’ve never experienced before," Jennifer Aniston wrote on Instagram. "We loved him deeply. He was such a part of our DNA. We were always the 6 of us.”
Matt LeBlanc, who played Chandler’s best friend Joey Tribbiani, shared a set of photos from the show over the years, including one of the cast sharing a group hug.
"It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye. The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life," LeBlanc wrote on Instagram. "It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you and I'll never forget you. Never."
